These split brushes have a unique patented design that uses two different resistance carbons on each side of the brush with 2 leads to each carbon, 4 leads total, maximizing the full face of each brush. The split brush pair has a rubber spring seat to significantly reduce vibration on the brush pair which maintains constant contact of the brushes to the armature.
